Can't get rid of Trojan.Fileless.MTGen

Update:

It seems like the trojan horse was hiding in avg files.  AVG (previously installed) had problem with "software protection".  Followed instructions for AVG - tried to repair.  Failed.  Instructions said to uninstall and reinstall.  When I completed that, malwarebytes found the system clean.  AVG found the same.
