adwcleaner found tracing but cannot clean it

Hi 

ADWcleaner 6.044 is the only one to have find  many tracing (mostly in chrome/chrome extensions. Six  have ben deleted easyly but one keep reapparaing again and again, even afer restarting ( I retries at lest 10 times).

I did many others scans :, Malwarebyte Premium deep scan, Superantispyware, Eset, among others, both prior or after I installed ADWcleaner, but they did never hound the tracing. So I was suprised.

The tracing name  is " [-] [C:\Users\MyUsername\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Profile 1] [extension] Suppressed: lfmhcpmkbdkbgbmkjoiopeeegenkdikp." But retarting the PC, and scanning again it is still there. 

(I checked in CHrome extension "developer mode", theyre is no such name in extension list)

I did a Chome reset, uninstall all add-on, but still ADWcleaner found and clean this entry... which keep reapparing every time I check. Again and again. 

By the way the PC goes well, without annoyance or else. 

 Many other forum talk about that (same file number) without solution.  A solution would be fantastic

By the way, how come if ADWcleaner is know a part of Malwarebyte (premium) , the the last dont detect the same treats ?

Can you relaunch AdwCleaner, do a scan and tell me what happens (be sure you have an active network connection)

AdwCleaner stays an independent tool with its specifics detections, from which MB learn about progressively.

Ok, so connected on internet, I started Adware, which scan directly (no update option on any kind, neither in too or elseware.

It fouded the same menace as usual (look at capture 1). Then I clicked on Clean, get a warning message as all will be closed, say OK and proceed. 

Another warning, then Adware wanted to retart the PC, I clicked OK, and so it dit. 

Reopening, i get the attached message (2)... So it should be cleaned and everything should be fine. 

No, not at all. Without reopening any program, If I restart Adware, I get again the Same error message. (capture 2).  It will do it again and again and again, I retried more than 30 times last weekend, rebooting at each time, it is pointless. 

All other scanners, (Eset Bit-Defender, Microsoft  Defender, SuperantiSpyware and Antimalware byte premium, and a lot more.... founded nothing, even in deep scan option).  Nothing.  I reset chrome, uninstall all extention,, uninstall chrome and reinstall it, scanning and rebooting each time, all done properly. Always the same result. 

It is also strange that there are no way to update Adaware or its definition...

Bonjour!

It's strange - I do not reproduce it. I've made a few changes though, can you launch AdwCleaner, go to Tools > Options. On the "mode" section, click on "Debug" and validate. Then, do a scan and share the logfile in C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner_Debug.log.
