AdwCleaner (not responding) when I click 'clean'

Recommended Posts

I have downloaded AdwCleaner from the site 3x...thinking it might have been on my end.  However, each time I hit scan, it finds between 17 & 20 threats.  Then, when I click 'clean', it never seems to fail that the program becomes unresponsive and freezes up the entire laptop. I have tried to right+click & run as administrator, I have rest the sync in Google Chrome, all to no avail!!  Once it freezes, though, I can't get to the task manager, even!  I have to press & hold the power button in order to get the laptop functioning again.  I would like to get rid of these 17-20 threats it has found but have no idea how to make 'clean' work??  Please help.  Here is the latest logfile:

Hello,

Before trying in safemode, can you tick the option "Debug" in AdwCleaner, and share the generated logfile?

-> https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/pages/5-en-adwcleaner-documentation/

1. Launch AdwCleaner,

2. Goto Tools > Options, and tick "Debug" in Mode section.

3. Do a scan followed by a clean to trigger the crash. Reboot, and share the generated logfile in "C:\AdwCleaner\" called "AdwCleaner_Debug.log"

Thanks,
