I am one of the original supporters for Malwarebytes - for many years guys.
I own a permanent license for Malwarebytes (from long ago).
I also have several other licenses (5 at one time).
Computer running Windows 10 Professional Upgrade I7 16GB RAM 256GB SSD Windows 10 Defender (no McAfee, Norton, or Kaspersky)
Around October 2016 I received a Malwarebytes update.
The update finished, I rebooted the machine.
The machine never booted properly again. I was in complete shock.
I lost a lot, money, and a lot of time.
I was forced to wipe the drive (SSD) and install Windows 10 clean install with purchased media.
I am gun-shy of reinstalling Malwarebytes.
I would appreciate Malwarebytes representation suggestions because I am convinced Malwarebytes provides protections that other providers do not including Defender.
I am also sure the update destroyed my machine in October.
Sorry, but this is the only event that ran and the machine never recuperated without a clean install.

Hope you learned your lesson...Never compute without doing backups...No excuse not to have a backup image.

You can make a FREE CLONEZILLA LIVE CD or USB that will boot linux and the backup program and then backup to either an external drive or another USB stick.

As far as Malwarebytes 3.0 it's still a work in progress...They just announced a new beta but I would not do any installing of anything until you get your system

backed up...I've been computing for more than 25 years and never had to do a clean install (even in the days of floppies in the eighties) because I always had

backups and you definitely have no excuse nowadays.
