Version ; 3.0.6.1469
Componet package ; 1.0.50
Update Package : 1.0.1299
Windows 7 professional ;

I have experienced the usual problem of 3.0.6 not setting all options and receiven "You system is not protected"
I follow a thread that claim a reinstall cured the problem . I  totally wiped out MalwareByte 3.06. Rebooted and reinstall from a fresh download.

To my dismay NONE of my stay resident programs like ALIENWARE Thermals ( CRITICAL TO MONITOR TEMP) and my ROCCAT  KONE XTD & RYOS MK  resident programs crashed and neither my keyboard or mouse worked. To TOP IT ALL OFF . my Realteak HD audio ALSO stopped working .

But EVEN with an install that ONLY had MalwareByte 3.0.6 ..  the same  problem everyone is complaining about appears. Actuall it show

AWESOME YOU ARE PROTECTED for 5 minutes and then degrades to

You are not fully protected.

I can understand that my problem rests on pretty heavy drivers for ALIENWARE & ROCCAT , but even with those off

my complete installation  eventually will drop the complete protection

NO. If Malwarevytes is installed, ALL the Alienware software crashes . So does the ROCCA drivers

(BTW - ROCCA is a mfg of "programmable" keyboard's and mouse

I am experimenting with MalwareBytes delay protection time.   I THINK that is the key.

Alienware does a tremendous amount of sniffing. checks thermals, overall performances,  gathers crash data, and does a short eval of hardware in general.

Most likely it does the overall performance test during idle time, and on reboot - it reads the files.

Now my MalwareBytes shows a "Awesome you are protected .. but the icon on the Notification Area shows a red "!"    - with a messages  "Updates out of date"

This version 3.06 need a speedy go over by the developers.
