Windows 7, latest Malwarebytes 3.0.6 release, no workee

Since the 3.0 update (free), my Windows 7.0 laptop has become unusable.  In fact, I had to uninstall it once again just to write this note.  Web browsing sessions freeze and hog up, and MWB 3 never seemed to complete a single scan, always hanging up on some file (never the same).  All 2.x and previous editions worked fine.

That said, I also have a Windows 10 desktop (upgraded from 7) that so far appears to work fine, and my other laptop, a newer one that came installed with Windows 10, seems to be fine after trying it there today.

Is W7 not going to be supported fully?  I've tried upgrading this 2011 Dell to Windows 10 but there are lots of issues (as the system runs hot all the time with fans going full blast) but Dell says no updated drivers will be allowed. Note I'm also running McAfee Total Protection.

Telos, your response seems to be incomplete.  Was "(here)" meant to be a link to another subforum, and what "following detail" are you requesting?
