Hi there.

I have just signed up to the forum. I discovered this software today and ran it for the first time. It found quite a lot of things that Adaware did not, but when I was prompted to restart the computer to complete the malware removal I encountered many .dll run errors.

Now, whenever I start the computer up, I have no Icons or Start Bar for around ten minutes. They then appear with low graphics (i.e. the start bar looks like the Windows 95 start bar) then eventually appear as normal. (I use Windows XP)

However, I do get an error message saying that msn messenger had to close down, and my wireless seems to just try and connect to my network forever. The first time this happened, I also got a DotNet error message - but I found a guide that helped me remove the DotNet reg key - and I no longer get this error.

I'm very far from and expert, I have a feeling that this problem may be because there are other malwares or spywares in my registry that my PC is trying to run on start up. Of course, I'm prepares to accept that this could be completely wrong.

So could someone please help me?

I would be forever greatful if someone could walk me through the steps of how to rectify this.

Please let me know if you need more info in order to help me.

Thanks.

Hello Surreal,

See this topic for instructions to get and run HijackThis

and then Create a NewTopic in the "Malware Removal" sub-forum (not here)

http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=7

You already have MBAM so skip that section. Just get & run HJT and post that log

and please stop doing any more registry edits or any fixes or changes on your own.

Once we have your log posted, it will be reviewed and further help will follow.
