Malwarebytes 3.0.6 slow start-up

Recommended Posts

I am suffering from extremely slow start-up times with 3.0.6.1469. I had no issues with version 2.x. All my programs start normally until it comes to malwarebytes loading and my computer comes to a halt. Version 3.0.6 was a clean install. I had issues with protection modules not turning on when I upgraded from version 2.x. One thing to note is that MBAM clean does not work on version 3.0.6 (Link to MBAM clean).

Please advise.

When you say slow startup, do you mean Malwarebytes loads slow, your computer loads slow, or other applications load slow?

As for mbam-clean, you are correct, it will not work for MB3 as it was designed for MBAM2.x. We are working on an updated version for MB3

Malwarebytes loads slow and brings my computer to a halt until it is done loading. The programs populate in the notification area normally until malwarebytes starts and then I have a good 60 second wait until I can do anything. I did not have this issue with version 2.x. Even when I delay start-up my computer becomes unresponsive as soon as malwarebytes starts to load. When it finally finishes loading everything appears to work as it should.

They are included in the 7zip file in my initial post. ;)
