I know you can use: iptest.malwarebytes.org to test the web protection is working fine.
Apart from that, I am not sure.

Normally, you do not want to use a test program issued by the same company...

You remember MBAE? To test it , you were advised to use mbae-test.exe , which supposedly was simulating an exploit behavior.

However, non of the other antiexploits from the market would react to mbae-test.exe, so the test was irrelevant; you run mbae-test.exe and MBAE will display "I'm working":D

For example, each and every antivirus can be tested with EICAR

Maybe because "each and every antivirus" supports the test file and Malwarebytes does not, quote:

Any anti-virus product that supports the EICAR test file should detect it in any file providing that the file starts with the following 68 characters, and is exactly 68 bytes long

And by the way...

Windows 8.1 in itself blocks running the test file as an executable file, citing that DOS will not run in this version of the Windows...

Obviously the 64 bit version of Windows 8.1 can't run a DOS program. But I think the 32 version would.

Also if your Anti Virus (with real time protection) is working then the EICAR test file shouldn't even make it on to our hard drive when you try to download it.
