I did a clean install of Malwarebytes3 (3.06.1459) in Windows XP Sp3. Before this, XP had a fully functional version of Malwarebytes v2.2.1.1043 which had no problems doing exclusions of files or folders. I checked out the MBAM3 Faq-found nothing, searched thru the current issues (lot of them), but found only a couple on exclusions, but nothing like I was experiencing with XP. Using the Exclusion Wizard, I can excludes FILES but NOT FOLDERS. I choose the Add Exclusion, then Step 1-Choose the File or Folder Type, then Step 2-Specify a File or Folder. If I choose Select FILES, it works as expected. However, if choose Select Folder, I get the same open dialog for choosing a file. I cannot choose a Folder at all. Having been a long-time user of Malwarebytes, I thought I knew how to exclude files or folders. It appears that the wrong window is coming up when selecting folders to exclude. Is there a workaround for this behavior? This appears to be the only major issue I've experienced so far. I haven't been able to spend a large amount of time exploring this new version. This copy of XP is part of a dual-boot system with Windows 7 and doesn't get a lot of use.

Hello @Aderlass and :welcome:

This has been known and is part of the Malwarebytes 3.0 - Known Issues for developer resolution.  A directory involved workaround has not been published.  The system in question is better off using only essential file based (EXE, CPL, SYS, DLL, SCR, and OCX) exclusions due to the congenital weaknesses of XP based systems anyway.
