amadeot Posted February 9, 2017 ID:1100357 Share Posted February 9, 2017 I'm writing to you from Hashtag Labs, an advertising operations firm for independent publishers. One of our domains which we use to manage advertising partners (hxxp:://htl.bid) has been blacklisted with the message "malicious site blocked" from Malwarebytes. It's no different than Prebid.js. Screenshot attached from a user. Thanks so much!
Staff Zynthesist Posted February 9, 2017 Staff ID:1100456 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Hello, Can you please post a copy of the protection log, this will give me more details about the block. Thanks.
amadeot Posted February 9, 2017 Author ID:1100463 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Sorry, Andres, this was sent in by a user, I don't have access to the full protection log. Is it possible to solve without it?
Staff Zynthesist Posted February 9, 2017 Staff ID:1100470 Share Posted February 9, 2017 The log would show me the DB version the user currently has, which I suspect maybe an outdated version. We are not blocking the IP/domain in the screenshot.
amadeot Posted February 9, 2017 Author ID:1100476 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Got this report from a seperate user who got the same error: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP-1 (Updates through the last batch) Chrome v. 56.0.2924.87 Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v. 2.2.1.1043 (currently at database version 2017.2.6.11 -- it's happened on previous dates)
Staff Zynthesist Posted February 9, 2017 Staff ID:1100544 Share Posted February 9, 2017 The block on *bid most likely caused it, that block has been removed.
