A few days ago my browser started to be slow and random ads started appearing. I unnistalled any program that seemed suspicious but that didnt work. I downloaded Malwarebytes and scaaned my computer many times but it didnt detect my problem. I read the topic about what to do in this situation and i downloaded Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and i have what i need. I also disabled all of my extensions from chrome (the browser i am currently using) and i reseted it aa few times but it didnt work. My Malwarebytes does block the sites as soon as they appear.  The ones that appear the most are query router and liveadexchanger.

Hello Bogdan2002 and welcome to Malwarebytes,

My screen name is kevinf80, i`m here to help clean up your system. Make sure to run all scans from accounts with Administrator status, continue as follows please:

Anyone other than the original starter of this thread please DO NOT follow the instructions and advice posted as replies here, my help and advice is NOT related to your system and will probably cause more harm than good...

In order to comply with Forum Protocol regarding Piracy Please uninstall all entries related to KMSpico

Next,

Download attached fixlist.txt file (end of reply) and save it to the Desktop, or the folder you saved FRST into. "Do not open that file"
NOTE. It's important that both FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

Open FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt) or the folder it was ran from. Please post it to your reply.

Next,

Open Malwarebytes, select > "settings" > "protection tab"

Scroll down to "Scan Options" ensure Scan for Rootkits and Scan Scan within Archives are both on.... Leave all other settings to default..

Go back to "DashBoard" select the Blue "Scan Now" tab......

When the scan completes deal with any found entries... Then select "Export Summary" then "Text File (*.txt)" name that log and save , you can copy or attach that to your reply...

Next,

Download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your Desktop.

  • Double click on Adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on the Scan in the Actions box
  • Please wait fot the scan to finish..
  • When "Waiting for action. Please uncheck elements you want to keep" shows in top line..
  • Click on the Cleaning box.
  • Next click OK on the "Closing Programs" pop up box.
  • Click OK on the Information box & again OK to allow the necessary reboot
  • After restart the AdwCleaner(C*)-Notepad log will appear, please copy/paste it in your next reply. Where * is the number relative to list of scans completed...

Next,

Download Sophos Free Virus Removal Tool and save it to your desktop.

If your security alerts to this scan either accept the alert or turn off your security to allow Sophos to run and complete.....

Please Do Not use your PC whilst the scan is in progress....

  • Double click the icon and select Run
  • Click Next
  • Select I accept the terms in this license agreement, then click Next twice
  • Click Install
  • Click Finish to launch the program
  • Once the virus database has been updated click Start Scanning
  • If any threats are found click Details, then View log file... (bottom left hand corner)
  • Copy and paste the results in your reply
  • Close the Notepad document, close the Threat Details screen, then click Start cleanup
  • Click Exit to close the program
  • If no threats were found please confirm that result....

The Virus Removal Tool scans the following areas of your computer:
  • Memory, including system memory on 32-bit (x86) versions of Windows
  • The Windows registry
  • All local hard drives, fixed and removable
  • Mapped network drives are not scanned.

Note: If threats are found in the computer memory, the scan stops. This is because further scanning could enable the threat to spread. You will be asked to click Start Cleanup to remove the threats before continuing the scan.

Let me see those logs in your reply, also tell me if there are any remaining issues or concerns...

Thank you,

Kevin...

Ok so after scaning with Malwarebytes  and AdwCleaner there were no threats found. I have also done everything i know which resulted in a pop up ad appearing or query router and there were no problems. I might have an explanation to why query router opened after i eliminated them but as english is not my primary language it is a high chance you would not understant, if you do want to hear it i will try and explain my thoughts as best as i can. That being said i would like to make a donation to you and i want to know what you consider a decent donation.

The following link gives a good explanation of the problem you had: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-search-queryrouter-com/

Run your system for another couple of hours, if all is ok we can clean up, i`ll post the instructions to clean up whenever you`re ready.... Regarding a donation, price of couple of beers is more than adequate... Thank you for that kind offer...

Regards,

Kevin....

The problem is still there i think most of the query router was deleted but there are some leftovers from it. I observed that after about 20 minutes of staying inactive on my computer with google chrome open my mouse starts loading for a few seconds and if i open a new tab it will be query router. For example if i open 20 new tabs in one run query router will not open. Also this is the site which opens: http://search.queryrouter.com/?pid=exp.

Ok i did everything. I have some questions:

Should i make chrome my default browser?

Google gave me an attention about a new extension added to my browser that being adobe acrobat, i clicked on it and it asked me to install it or disable it, i did not know what to do so i closed it with the X button on the top right corner, i dont see it in my extensions, is it enabled? If it is, should i remove it?

I will keep opening new tabs and i will see if the query router problem persists.

So after trying a couple of times opening tabs there were no query router pages, i will continue to experiment and i will tell you tomorrow the result. Another problem appeared, while trying to sign up into origin ( an application where you can buy games) an ad opened. I have not been downloading any files recently the only one was a game from this app:Battlefield 4 and it requires some file to be downloaded in order to function for the browser. That file may have installed all the problems like ads or query router. Origin is a site i trust and it is from a big gaming company EA and it would never install such things. As i said the problem may come from that file i downloaded for the app it is like a plug in. The title of the ad is something with java so that is something to keep in mind. The image i gave you is a print screen saved in paint and i hope it will give you some insight on the problem. I also have a credit card saved in origin so i will not log in. Maybe if i reinstall origin the problem may disappear. I will be away from home untill tonight so you dont have to message me right now you have time to think about the problem.
