Can scans with detected items be stopped in middle of scan and infections still be removed at that point?

I have a situation where a scan has been running for about 6 hours. Roughly 50 items have been detected so far and I'm at a point where I MUST stop the scan and move on with other tasks.

Can a scan be stopped mid-scan and then Malwarebytes 3.x will still give the option to remove the items that have been detected so far?  Or will I have to start the scan from the beginning again to detect and remove the items found so far?

I guess all or most of your detections are PUP = Possible Unwanted Programs  ?

If you are running a THREAT(Default) scan it should not run 6 hours. There is NO REAL reason to scan with a custom scan.
