MBAM 3.xxx - Problems vs No Problems

Recommended Posts

I am trying to make an informed decision about whether or not to upgrade to version 3 on W10 with WD as the AV.

On the above platform, does the Forum have any information on what percentage of users have had....

1.  No problems

2.  Minor problems quickly resolved

3.  Major problems resulting in the user having to return to version 2

4.  Catastrophic problems resulting is systems having to be rebuilt  (Blue screens; Black screens; No screens; Freeze on boot)

Hi Tabvla :)

That information isn't available as far as I know, though there are millions of users running Malwarebytes 3.0. It's hard to know which ones are having issues, and which ones aren't. Some users experiencing issues with the program might just "deal with it" for the time being and not sign up on the forums to report them or contact the Help Desk. My suggestion would be to upgrade to 3.0.6, and if you don't like it, downgrade back to 2.2.1 for the time being until a new version gets released.

I fit in the has no issues category. But every system is different, Hardware, software and thousands of combinations of each.

So I would recommend making an IMAGE backup of your system before you try out ANY software or major changes to your computer.
