I have  a premium version of Malwarebytes. Recently, I keep getting alerts that I am not fully protected. My Web Protection under Real Time Protection is constantly off. When I toggle to the "on" position, it says "starting," but won't turn permanently on. Any ideas how to fix would be appreciated.

I finally fixed the problem. After uninstalling the program, I went to the program files in my C drive, and deleted the Malwarebytes file. At first it said I needed admin permission even though I am the admin. So I renamed the file, and then I was able to delete it. When I then downloaded the free version, I activated my license and now the Web protection remains on. I assume there was something affecting the program from an earlier install. Hope this helps others with the same problem.
