So as the title says, I get that error every time I try to install Malwarebytes 3.0, or however you want to say it. I have this stupid adware/malware that got on my computer and I don't know how, called netutils. I've never installed Malwarebytes before. I've tried using adwcleaner and it showed SOME of the netutils files/registry/etc, but every time it made me restart my computer to get rid of it, the files/registry/etc. were still there. So adwcleaner isn't gonna work either. I can't delete the files myself because of trustedinstaller and winlogon.exe, so that's out of the question. SpyHunter 4 you have to buy and I'm only 14 so I don't have the money for that, so that won't work either. I tried the Malwarebytes remover tool, and that didn't do anything, because as I said, I've never installed it before, but it was just to check. I don't know what to do. If anyone could help me, that would be greatly appreciated. I'll put my computer specs and an image of the error in here.

Thank you in advance. This has been stressing me out so much for the past two weeks and on top of that I've been really sick for the past week and a half. Double viruses lol. Sheesh.

EDIT: My GPU is an NVidia GTX 970M, if you need to know that.

EDIT 2: I would really prefer not to do a hard reset because all of my game settings, maps, addons, huge games, all my art, music, etc. from the past 6 years on here and it's way too much to transfer.

Hello @MysteriousKiri and :welcome:

From your post's description, the computer is probably infected and malware removal actions are not permitted in this sub-forum.

I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.

If, as recommended, you do open a topic in Malware Removal Help, please make reference to this thread.

If you would like to get off to a very fast start, the Malware Removal Experts would appreciate it if you would also attach (not compress/copy/paste) both the FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1 into your new topic. Please do not alter any pre-configured FRST categories as the default settings are well suited for malware removal actions.

Thank you.

Thank you for the response, but I just added the malware part in to say why I needed Malwarebytes to work. I need help getting Malwarebytes to install because it keeps showing that error, if possible.

Hello @MysteriousKiri:

The Malwarebytes management imposed rules for this sub-forum that are too limited to probably assist you with your system's issue(s).  The sub-forum I have recommended above is virtually unlimited in the actions that may be required to resolve all your system's issues.  Furthermore, that sub-forum's Malware Removal Experts are not at all limited to just Malware resolutions and can gladly assist with MB3's install difficulty.

Hence, the very best sub-forum to resolve all your system's issue(s) is as I have recommended to you above.  Thank you and best wishes.

Alright, I will try it, thank you. Should I just copy+paste this post in there and then add the things you recommended?

Just referring to the above link will save you some typing, copying, and pasting.  But please do attach the two (2) text (.txt) files from the appropriate Farbar Recovery Scan Tool run in that new topic's first post until requested to do otherwise.

Thank you.
