After installing Malawarebytes 3.0.6 on my Windows 7 system on Sunday (Jan 29), my system became gradually slower until
it became completely unresponsive. I needed to force a reboot. This has happened repeatedly over the past 2 days - ususally within 10 minutes of a forced reboot.
I attempted to diagnose it yesterday by doing hardware scans, disabling various software etc. The only thing that has resolved the
issue is to stop Malwarebytes from running which I did this AM.  Given the issue began immediately after the 3.0.6 install, and
is not occurring now that I have stopped it, I am fairly certain this is the issue.

I have a subscription and now have no protection. I look forward to the resolution.

Thanks. Richard.

Richard, can you please perform the following steps to grab us some information from your machine? Thanks!

  1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool from here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/ and save it to your desktop.
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
**After you click the Download Now 64-bit, or the Download Now 32-bit, another page will open — DO NOT CLICK ANY ADDITIONAL 'download now' buttons, just wait and look toward the bottom of your browser for the option to Run or Save. Click Save.
  2. Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to the disclaimer.
Note: If you are prompted by Windows SmartScreen, click More info followed by Run anyway.
  3. Click the Scan button.
  4. When the scan has finished, it will save 2 logs  in the same directory the tool was run from.  Please attach the following logs:
    Addition.txt
    FRST.txt

I have been told in another thread I started that I should try uninstalling Bonjour and iTunes as my old PC might be struggling to cope with the extra load of the new MB installation, so far I have just uninstalled Bonjour, apparently it is something to do with itunes and one of those things that get installed automatically which you don't really need. MB is still disabled and everything is running nicely, ITunes next, then try MB and see what happens.
