I have a paid MBAM lifetime license and a paid MBAE license, running on Win 7 SP1 64-bit.

I'm sticking with MBAM 2.2.1.1043, waiting for MB v3 to settle down.

Unfortunately I left the 'check for software updates box' on and now I am getting the pop up that tells me the new version of MB (I presume 3.0.6) is ready to install.

I gather this means the install file already has been downloaded to my PC and is waiting here, is this correct?

If yes, is there a way to delete this file so it doesn't keep trying to update?

Meanwhile I have unchecked the 'check for software updates' box.

Thanks!

Hi @ggeinec, from our support team: "you will need to disable Self-Protection (to check if Self-Protection is enable go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Enable self-protection module) and then delete the mbam-setup.exe file in the %programdata%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware folder"

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,
Cecile
