Gawd I am going crazy....I check F-Secure again and you can't exclude files in Deepguard. :-/

That's true (I wondered if you had some special release). You can either run DeepGuard restricted (or disable it entirely), or as I did, whitelist the MBAM folder in the antivirus scan exceptions. You'll need to reboot to see any result. If nothing improved, go back into F-Secure to make sure the change you made stuck.

I started this thread a week ago. I just thought I'd post one last time to say that I've uninstalled the program and gotten a refund. MWB was my first choice, but I'll just keep looking for a different solution (and no, I've never used f-secure). This was frustrating.

For what it's worth this worked for me:

Start F-Secure (Double click on icon in system tray)

Tools -> Virus Scan Options -> Change Scanning Settings -> Virus Protection

Click on 'Exclude Files from the Scan ..' (Bottom of the page)

Click on 'Objects' -> Add

Navigate to 'C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' (on my PC - may be different on yours)

Restart PC

Malwarebytes then seemed to work again

Using Belarc Advisor I have:

Windows 7 Professional (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601)

F-Secure Corporation - F-Secure Common Client Foundation Version 1, 18, 119, 0
F-Secure Corporation - F-Secure Common Core Version 9.05.278.0
F-Secure Corporation - F-Secure Management Agent Version 8.30 Build 43258
F-Secure Corporation - F-Secure ORSP Client Version 1.2.13 build 100
F-Secure Corporation - F-Secure Service Enabler Version 2.76.108.0

Malwarebytes Service Version 3.1.0.415
Malwarebytes Tray Application Version 3.0.0.912
Malwarebytes Version 3.0.0.912

Good luck !
