I had an older version of Premium, not that old really (11/7/2016) an found when I did the new update (3.0.6) thru the update in the program itself, that it was causing a few issues on startup and those issues where finding their way to the Event Viewer. Another issue was even though the settings in Premium where showing for it to auto start I would have to click on it in the Task Bar and re-scan in order for it to properly activate. On each an every restart it would show the warning that it was not activated.

So... I used Revo Uninstaller ( the mbam.exe uninstaller left several firewall settings untouched plus some GUID identifiers) completely erased all traces then reinstalled the new update fresh and reapplied my Activation ID and bingo back in business.

I see in the release there are some issues with Macrium Reflect, which I use and hope there will be no issues with that.
