Unicore Posted January 26, 2017 ID:1096262 Share Posted January 26, 2017 When I attempt to install Malwarebytes v. 3.0.6.1469, I get an error message telling me that MBAMService can not be removed. However, if I shut down MBAM and then go into the Program Files I can then manually remove MBAMService with no problem and then run the installer without any problems. What am I doing wrong? Aura Posted January 26, 2017 ID:1096326 Share Posted January 26, 2017 Hi Unicore Before installing the newest Malwarebytes 3.0.6, please uninstall the old version you have installed first (make sure to deactivate your licence if you have Premium), and then install the newest version after. I have six different computers running MBAM Premium and with five of those computers I am able to install new versions of MBAM over the old versions with no problem. It was only one of my computers that exhibited this difficulty. However, in the future I will follow the procedure you have recommended for all of my computers. Thanks again!
