Hello @Alaska99 and welcome back.

Thank you for the report.  Without an analysis of a relevant dump file, your topic can not be answered with high confidence, yet the possibility of an MB3 relationship may exist.  Please consider protecting the memory dump(s) that may have already been generated, and move them to a temporary location until their short-term value can be determined.

1.) Please attach the possible dump (.dmp) file(s) from "%SystemRoot%\Minidump" to a reply in this topic unless these instructions are superseded by only a Malwarebytes staffer.

2.) Please help to complete all the needed information that may have been initially missed in: How to Report a New Issue and of particular importance will be your attached MBAMSERVICE.LOG file.

3.) Please attach (do not compress/copy/paste) the separate FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1.  The appropriate Farbar Recovery Scan Tool utility must be executed with "Run as administrator" privileges.

After all the requested data is posted, the Malwarebytes' QA & Developer Teams, and staffers can commence their analysis.  Thank you always for your assistance.

The same issue has been reported with previous builds by various users and seems to be related to usage of torrent clients. I was hopeful that this was resolved in 3.0.6 but just ran into it again myself.

With that said... attached are the requested files.

BSOD: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION - tcpip.sys

OS: Windows 10 Pro x64, Version 1607 (Build 14986.1001, Windows Insider Slow Ring)

How to reproduce:

  1. Enable all protections in MBAM3.
  2. Start qBittorrent and download anything (this has been reported with other torrent clients as well).
  3. Wait 1-2 minutes for BSOD to occur (this can be reproduced reliably every time).

Disabling real-time protections in MBAM3 appears to be the only way to avoid the BSOD that I have found so far.
