when i try to open it it just says :

unable to start

--------------------------------------

unable to connect the service

--------------------------------------

I have reported this to Malwarebytes Technical Support, but no response to this issue. I uploaded Malwarebytes 3.0.6 Premium on a Windows 7 computer, and it's unable to start and unable to connect the service. I checked the Services section of Windows 7 and Malwarebytes is not even listed. I did a reinstall, and it installed but still would not start. I also noticed on other forums that many people are having the same issue. Please advise.

Hello @Silbano and :welcome:

Thank you for your report.

1.) Please help to complete all the needed information that may have been initially missed in: How to Report a New Issue and of particular importance will be your attached MBAMSERVICE.LOG file.

2.) Please attach (do not compress/copy/paste) the separate FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1.  The appropriate Farbar Recovery Scan Tool utility must be executed with "Run as administrator" privileges.

After all the requested data is posted, the Malwarebytes' QA & Developer Teams, and staffers can commence their analysis.  Thank you always for your assistance.

Hi Malwarebytes Tech Support,

I hope you all can help me fix this issue. I have been using Malwarebytes for a number of years on all of my computers, but this time it won't work for me on a computer of one of my family members. I attached the the Addition.txt, CheckResults.txt, and FRST.txt files as you requested. I hope that you can assist me with a solution that will allow me to start Malwarebytes 3 Home Premium on my cousins computer. FRST.txtCheckResults.txtAddition.txtThank you for assisting me with this matter.

Best regards,

Silbano

@Silbano you're FRST log points to an infection on your machine blocking a lot of programs. I would start by jumping over to the Malware Removal for Windows section of the forums and asking for support. Here's a link to that section of the forums: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/forum/7-malware-removal-for-windows/. Be sure to read the "I'm infected - What do I do now?" thread at the top of that forum:

Once the infection is removed, then we can try again!

This pc has a pretty serious infection.  It blocks all security softwares ( Malwarebytes as well as all antivirus).  That's the reason for Malwarebytes not starting.

Its a serious infection.  Plus I do not see any antivirus on this pc.  Stick to the helpdesk case.
