RTP "Real Time Protection Turned off" & can't get it turning on. Windows 7. MBAM 3.05

Hi,

I've read there are other users experiencing similar problems with MBAM 3.05 RTP (Real Time Protection) layers. I reinstalled Windows 7 and when installing MBAM it updated to this new clunky version 3.x.x etc. None of the updates have helped and I'm still left with no RTP on start up, and throughout the entirety of my session - just a constant MBAM icon with a red triangle as a contstant reminder that it's not doing it's job... That's the rant...

So, any idea when this is going to be fixed? I've read this has been going on since at least December 2016, remarkable it should take so long for a patch/update that solves it.

Help or progress update (at least) would be appreciated, unless someone knows how to fix it manually?

I have some success with changing the "Automatic" start up of MB 3.05 to "Automatic (Delayed Start)" with Windows 7. If the RTP still does not start, manually turning it on may work. If not, I just leave it like that. That's one of the reason why I kept the anti virus with actual working RTP on the system and set the start up type to "Automatic"...

<rant>How can Malwarebytes call 3.05 GA, when the RTP starting up is iffy at best, it's beyond me...</rant>

I should add, it will not turn on manually through the UI and remains off throughout the session. When attempting to switch it on manually through the UI it just says "starting", then very shortly after I get the "RTP is off" pop up, and it's switched to "off" in the UI again. Quite infuriating really - going round in circles achieving nothing.

Just changed the Startup to delay 30 seconds. Can't see how this will help, but will report back after I reboot with update. I'm in the middle of things currently so can't try it immediately.

Haven't switched on in a few days, but today it started with the RTP is off pop up, I clicked the 'on' in the pop up and it worked. I believe this has actually happened before once or twice, so it appears to be intermittent. It's always possible that setting the delay of 30 seconds has helped, as dont_touch_my_buffer suggested.  I'll leave it a while before posting again and see whether it consistently begins working with this procedure.. If so, there's always the off-chance it could help someone else.
