I had some reservation toward installing MB 3.05. Nonetheless, I had proceeded on two systems, W7 and W8.1, both 64-bit Professional editions, about a month ego. The initial impression had been good, for about a week or so on both system. It's been downhill ever since...

The real-time protection would not start upon booting the system, but enabling it would work after a week or so. Another week later, both system required admin access for manually starting real-time protection. Nowadays, even with admin access the real-time protection does not start. On occasions, the real-time protection would start just fine and even now, it would start maybe once or twice a week. For example, at this moment the real-time protection is on. There had been no new programs added to either of the systems, except standard system, apps, etc., updates.

Exploit, malware and ransomware protection have no issues, they startup up and stay started just fine.

At the moment, I've resigned to the fact that Malwarebytes real-time/web protection does not work reliably. This is not an issue for me since both of the systems have 3-4 additional security protections, including real-time protection. And that's in addition to standard security practices.

Most people don't have layered security protection and may rely just on MB3.x and these people could have some issues with malware. For this reason, Malwarebytes should not advertise MB3.x as "makes antivirus obsolete". At least not until the real-time protection runs reliably without intervention from the end user. I do like Malwarebytes, don't take me wrong, but it has its issues that are aggravating to say the least...

The Malwarebytes Tray App started to crash now, did it once so far:
