That may have been installed by the OEM manufacturer of your machine(s) as part of the Amazon Assistant, Amazon Smart Search, AmazonBrowserSettings, etc which is considered a PUP. (Potentially Unwanted Program) Most people who find that software installed on their PC want assistance in removing it for various reasons.
