Still an endless install loop?

Recommended Posts

I've hat this already weeks ago, and had ignored the install prompts since then. What can I do to stop the useless nagging? The picture shown below is a screenshot after an update 22-Dec-16 19:38 UTC+1:00

Hello @Dynszis and :welcome:

Please try a conventional Windows-based uninstall of MBARW Beta8 followed by a system restart and moving the setup executable to the Administrator's desktop and install using "Run as administrator".  Follow the install with one more system restart.

Please reply to this topic with the results of the above.  Thank you for your patience and testing the MBARW Beta project.

Actually no, sorry. I accidentally found Malwarebytes Premium 3.0.5 on your website, and this seemed to be the more sensible thing to install.

For whatever reason you do have to accidentally find Malwarebytes Premium 3, even if you already have a subsription to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium and an installed version 2.x that checks for updates.

Hello Dynszis:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v2.2.1.1043 (MBAM 2.x) in any edition is still actively supported and Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (MBAE Beta) and Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware (MBARW Beta8) are still very well suited companions.  Although Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v3.0.5.1299 (MB3) has been, and is now, in general release, MB3 will not be pushed as an automatic program update for MBAM 2.x till early 2017.  When MB3 is installed, the installation process will automatically replace MBAM, MBAE Beta, and MBARW Beta8 at the same time.  MB3 Premium integrates all of the new and additional features of MBAM Premium with the features of MBAE Premium and MBARW.

However, you may manually download and install MB3 v3.0.5.1299 now if you would like to get a head start and your valid Premium license can activate MB3 to the same premium level as with MBAM 2.x before.

If your choice is to wait till early 2017 to receive automated upgrades for MBAM 2.x, and you wish to run MBARW Beta8 separately, my instructions above still hold true for your issue with MBARW Beta8.  If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask them here.
