Malwarebytes 'cancels' scan - 0 files/folders scanned

Recommended Posts

Hello -

First try with Malwarebytes so I am on a trial that I installed on a test machine. Install seems to complete with no indication of problems, but it will not scan at all. It immediately congratulates me that no threats were found, but nothing was actually scanned. Admin account, tried alternate admin account, rebooting, re-installing. I tried disabling options in the settings. So far, nothing at all. No apparent error messages (although there could be some logs that I am not aware of).

Any ideas where to look first? I read through some similar threads and did a surface level scan of other forums but did not find any smoking gun. Hopeful this is an easy fix - hoping to deploy through the whole office.
