Goldleaf folder and contents false positive 12-5-2016

Recommended Posts

I work for a software vendor and our solution is on thousands of end user pc's.  Our solution deploys a folder named Goldleaf to the C:\Program Files directory.  The folder contains dll's and an .OCX component.  The software has been the same for years with no updates.  On Tues 12-5-2016 Malwarebytes scans began identifying the Goldleaf folder and its contents as threats.  End users were having to remove quarantined files and set up exclusions for the Goldleaf folder and contents.  We could also recreate this issue in-house on Tues 12-5-2016.  On Wed 12-7-2016, we are no longer able to recreate this issue and subsequent scans no longer identify the Goldleaf folder as threats.  Our resellers are large banking institutions and were most affected by the scans for their end users running our software.  We would like any help in understanding if Malwarebytes made definition changes around 12-5-2106 which would have erroneously flagged the Goldleaf directory and was there a deliberate change to a newer definition around 12-7-2016 which will no longer flag the Goldleaf folder as a threat?
