Have the MB3 bugs been fixed already?

The current Malwarebytes 3.0 version is the same as it was a few days ago (when it went in GA), so the bugs reported in the FAQ haven't been fixed yet, no. We're still waiting for a new build.

I guess this is where we would find out about the latest release?

This should be in bold printing (what is fixed, not some guessing game)

Is there anywhere on the site where I can download the previous version of MBAM?

Below is a link where you can get the version 2 download.  If you did a system restore to a point where you had MBAM v2, then the restore broke the version 2 install, it has to be reinstalled.  Uninstall the version 2 and then install it once more using the link below.

Hi there!

We are actively working on a patch release that will address most of the more popular issues that you may have heard about or even experienced yourself.  :)

Please stay tuned and we'll let you know just as soon as the new version is available!

Will there be a clean removal as there is for v2.x (not just the normal uninstall as that does not remove everything as it did not for v2.x) for this next version when released?

Good to know, but still, given the number of issues, many of which make the program unusable...why was it released in this state? Why couldn't it be released in January after more testing was done?

Can it be all of the issues?

Not in this very next planned upgrade, but...eventually we'll get to everything.  :)

A new cleanup tool is being worked on as a separate project.  It won't be part of the next upgrade, but should be coming some time afterwards.

Since we released last week we already have HUGE numbers of users running 3.0, without major problems.  And we're getting positive feedback from these folks on scan speed, design, new protection features, etc.  Yes, we have identified some high-priority issues that can occur on some systems and we're working on getting those fixed ASAP.

Eventually?

There might be some issues Malwarebytes isn't aware of because the users aren't reporting them. For instance I have an issue where I seem to be the only one to have on the forums. Obviously, if the users don't report the issues they're facing, Malwarebytes won't be aware of them and won't be able to fix them. And I guess that some issues will take a few updates to fix. The goal here is to release an update that fixes most (if not all) of the current issues (real-time protection disabled pop-up, cannot connect to service, etc.) as they are the ones preventing a lot of users from enjoying Malwarebytes 3.0.
