3.0.4 Quarantine of System3\ntdll.dll

Recommended Posts

ntdll.dll quarantine with reboot required

Checked the file with VirusTotal 0/57 threats and had to exclude the file from being removed from directory C:\windows\system32\

Can you please attach both mbae-default.log and MBAMSERVICE.LOG? You can find both under C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\

Thanks!

Looks like I tripped MB off when attempting to open a .mp3 file from inside a Chrome extension folder evidently that is a no no. Still removing ntdll.dll would be terrible overkill for this action as the PC could become unresponsive without this file...

MBAMSERVICE.7z

This is weird, never seen this in 4 years of MBAE standalone!

Can you please submit these two additional files?

C:\PROGRAMDATA\MALWAREBYTES\MBAMSERVICE\AeDetections\0bbf16ba-c075-11e6-8005-0a0027000014.json

C:\PROGRAMDATA\MALWAREBYTES\mbae-default.log

Thanks!

Hello Admin_temp,

We have a fix for this that we would like you to test. However, this update is currently only in the standalone test build we have. To test this, you would have to remove MB3, reboot the computer, and then install this test build:

https://malwarebytes.box.com/s/yjr93flq9boyfsg0h7kqg725wuoib3bp

Would you be willing to test this and let us know if it fixes the issue?
