Malwarebytes 3 Free, not closing.

Why Malwarebytes 3.0.4 (free version) dose not close completely when i click on the X at the top of GUI ?

I think that if you right-click on the tray icon, there's an option that will control how Malwarebytes will behave when you close it. Can you check and see what option it's set at?

This is the main thing I'm disliking about 3.0, I like the program to be a bit quicker to quit out, by just shutting down when clicking the X.

The UI closes very quickly for me.  What else is running on this machine?

Oh, I'm talking about after you click the X on the GUI to close the program, it keeps running in the taskbar and you have to right click the taskbar icon to actually close the program, there's go to be a way to set it so when you click the X in the GUI it just closes, no need for the extra step.

Yeah, I don't see any option to change the way it closes out, just if it starts with Windows or not, along with a few various options but nothing to do with closing when the window is closed, I know the older versions had that but not 3.

Why would I want the program to close after looking at and possibly changing things in the GUI? I would want the GUI to close and not the program. To close the GUI and program at the same time right click and click close on the taskbar icon. That eliminates 1 step for you.

I've also changed to V3 and cant find anyway to shut down Malwarebytes free after right clicking and scanning a file except for having to close it in the taskbar as well. @Aura Hi, there is no option in the MB taskbar menu, or settings in the app to close after scanning. This is different behavior to V2 and a PITA..A shame because otherwise very nice.

Are you sure you guys are not running the Trial of Malwarebytes 3?  If you are running in trial mode it could explain what your seeing.  To check or disable/end the trial go to the Account section and end the trial there.

Malwarebytes 3.0 does run in the system tray, even with Free version.
