MBAE and MBAM upgrade

I own a lifetime license for both MBAE and MBAM. Can I upgrade my V2 to V3 for free?

I was about to ask the same question as the FAQ is strangely silent on the lifetime license customers.  My guess is they (which is part of the reason for the name change) are considering v3 a brand new product that isn't covered by the lifetime licenses for MBAM.

Not so @Meathead.  Any previous valid MBAM Lifetime or term license as well as any valid MBAE license will activate MB3 to the same status.

Example: If you purchased a valid MBAM Lifetime license years ago to activate MBAM v1.nn, that same license will activate MB3 now.

Where did you get this information regarding the v1 lifetime licenses?  Assuming it's true and the lifetime licenses are honored, this should be stated specifically in the v3 FAQ and it's not.

And if it's honored does this mean we get the MBAE features for free for life?  I seriously doubt it.

Again all confusion can be cleared up by the staff directly addressing the v1 lifetime licenses and what exactly we get in v3.
