I received an on screen alert last night that my McAfee "real time scanning" and "firewall" were off.  I immediately clicked on the program and clicked "on" for both.  Within a minute, both went to "off" again.

I have the paid version of Malwarebytes real time malware scanning.

I suspected something was turning my virus protection off and did a full scan with Malwarebytes.  It came up with no threats found.  I've done a second scan with Malwarebytes and again, no threats found.  But my anti-virus won't stay on.

I need to resolve this.  What should I do?

Uninstall the McAfee its junk bloatware anyways. I have intentionally infected my computer with assorted viruses and Mcafee didnt do anything to stop it! It is bloatware. It is a resource hog and slows down your computer. All they want is your money. Malwarebytes caught every single one i threw at it. I run windows defender and Malwarebytes together. Never had a problem. I do the same thing on every customers computer I repair. First thing I do is remove Mcafee and symantec junk. First thing the customer says "Wow, it runs fast now!" Imagine that!
