adampk17 Posted November 15, 2016 ID:1072290 Share Posted November 15, 2016 When I run a Malwarebytes scan it identifies over 100 threats but does not quarantine them. So I am a little confused why it does nothing with those "threats". That brings me here. Attached to this topic you will find the output of my Farbar scan. Can someone help me understand if my computer has a malware issue or not. Thank you in advance. Addition.txt FRST.txt
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted November 18, 2016 Root Admin ID:1073139 Share Posted November 18, 2016 Hello @adampk17 and Can you please open MBAM and go to the History tab and then the logs and find a text log or copy to clipboard the scan log and the post that here so we can see what's happening. By default MBAM should already place a check mark on all items found and you simply need to confirm the removal. Thanks Ron
adampk17 Posted November 18, 2016 Author ID:1073143 Share Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) Thank you for the reply. The odd thing is that there is no scan log since August even though I have run several scans since then, including one just a few minutes ago. Here is what MBAM looks like: Edited November 18, 2016 by adampk17
adampk17 Posted November 18, 2016 Author ID:1073145 Share Posted November 18, 2016 I just figured out that my version of MBAM is out of date. I am updating and running another scan. I will post results in a few moments.
adampk17 Posted November 18, 2016 Author ID:1073148 Share Posted November 18, 2016 After updating MBAM it detected the same 133 threats but allowed me to remove them. I'll keep an eye on the system and report back here if something still isn't working like I would expect it to. For now though it seems like it's probably OK. Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted November 19, 2016 Root Admin ID:1073168 Share Posted November 19, 2016 Great, glad you were able to get it resolved. If there are any threats still found after a reboot and rescan let me know and we can check further to see what's going on. Thanks again Ron
