I'm not up to date on the news or policy of my local phones, as if I need a cell I sign it out. There are ways to block calls, here. some use codes, hope that MysteryFCM see this post and can provide some insight/comments.

I imagine there are very similar things here.... there are services that you can pay for to look up numbers or people... and there are also services like the DoNotCall list that are supposed to at least keep you from getting calls from things or take the chance of getting a lawsuit....

I don't know if that is the same thing that the UK is proposing or doing... but thats about the closest I can think of...
