I'm at the Confirm your restore point. It gives the restore time 10/28/2016, Description: Critical Update:Windows Update. Drives: Windoes8_OS (C:) (System) and then under that window there is a link I can click on saying "scan for affected programs"

Ok, didn't work. It says system restore did not complete successfully. Your  computer's system files and settings were not changes. Details: System restore failed while scanning the file system on the drive C:\ The drive might be corrupt. You might want to retry System restore after running chdsk /R on this disk. An unspecified error occurred during System Restore (0*80070002)
