trying to correct a 403 error

The answer is a "qualified yes".

A "403" error code almost certainly means the activation/reactivation count, held by the Malwarebytes' licensing system, has exceeded a fixed and preset limit regardless of causation.  A "403" always requires Malwarebytes manual intervention to resolve.

If you are being asked for your Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) licensing Product ID and Product Key, it is perfectly safe to respond, via a Private Message (PM), to a genuine Malwarebytes Corporate employee, if you were requested to, or via email to a genuine Malwarebytes trouble ticket you are opening or have opened with Malwarebytes support.  This is the only possible way to correct "403" error codes while attempting to reactivate a premium MBAM license.

Otherwise, you should never publish your MBAM's Product ID/Key in a public forum of any kind or in any way to a volunteer/helper.

Thank you.
