Only does 3 out of 8 operations

Recommended Posts

ver 2.2.1.1043 Windows 7

Scan works normally through Check for Updates, Pre-scan Operations, and Scan for Rootkits, reporting 274 objects scanned.  Then in an instant it goes through the remaining operations, Scan Memory, Scan Startup Files, Scan Registry, Scan File System, and Heuristic Analysis checking each off, but obviously not doing anything.  Used to work.  What happened?

Hello dkit and :welcome:

Let's begin here:

  1. Please try the following and reply if this corrects your issue: MBAM Clean Removal Process 2.x.
  2. If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and individually attach the 3 requested logs in a reply to this thread: Diagnostic Logs.
  3. The 3 files, from Step 2, to be individually attached from your desktop are: CheckResults.txt, FRST.txt and Addition.txt.  Please do not Copy and Paste or compress them into a reply.

Please update the status of your issue in a reply to this thread.

Thank You.

Thanks for getting back to us, the MBAM clean removal process fixes many issues.  The reason we had you try that is because we have no way of telling what setting you may have changed in your MBAM program if any (without us getting logs from you).  The clean process installs MBAM with all defaults as well as gets you on the latest version in case you were running an older version.

Another thing that could have happened, is if you upgraded your OS (like a windows 10 upgrade) sometimes that breaks MBAM as well as other security products.

With all that said, its good news to know you are all fixed now.
