Can't connect

Recommended Posts

I'm beginning to get frequent 'Can't Connect' notices on boot-up and the program doesn't open. Opening from start menu fixes it, but it is irritating and perplexing.  What wants to connect, and to what?

Hello Urbanspaceman,

Do you mind getting a screenshot of the message you are seeing for this? I don't want to make any assumptions on what the error message is until I see it to be sure.

Hello Urbanspaceman:

The likelihood that the .png screen grab, in your above post #4, is from Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware (MBARW) is quite high.  That may still leave your issue with Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (MBAE) as a separate problem.  I can assist you with the MBARW issue and @Rsullinger can assist you with your system's MBAE issue if you wish.

Using the native Windows built-in zip utility, please create the following, separate, .zip (not .7z or .rar) archive files for MBARW developer team analysis:

                                 "C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware\"
                                 "C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\logs\"
                                 "C:\ProgramData\MalwarebytesARW\"

Please attach the .zip archives to your next reply.  Thank you for your beta testing contribution to the Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware (MBARW Beta) project and your valued feedback.

Hello Urbanspaceman:

Does the system in question have any of the following Malwarebytes security applications installed?

1.) Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (MBAE)
2.) Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM)
3.) Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware Beta (MBARW Beta)

Thank you.

There's no zip facility shown in the 'send to' context menu. I've searched my computer but there is no win zip facility loaded. The folder is 54+ mb so it needs compressing.
