crobertson Posted September 7, 2016 ID:1060713 Share Posted September 7, 2016 I recently had a hijacked email account. I wasn't quite sure if it was just the email account or the computer. I change the password and the next day it began again. There were no signs, only an email error after it had reached the 250 email limit. I scanned the computer multiple times with Malwarebytes with nothing found. I scanned with another product and it found it pretty quickly. It was called a faxtool email hijack. It was in the path c:\windows\system\scripts\faxtool.exe I'm curious about reporting errors or files NOT found. Windows 7 SP1 2.2.1... Malwarebytes updated Avast
