I'm not sure if my PC is infected or if I'm overreacting. I was surfing the web typing something into a form. There were no links to PayPal on the page. Apparently of its own accord the browser window navigated to the PayPal login page. I'm not sure if possibly the cursor could have changed position on the screen and whatever I was typing prompted Chrome to retrieve PayPal from my browser history/bookmarks and navigate to it. Alternatively I'm wondering if it could be malware. Thanks

Hello and :welcome:

What is the PayPal url/address you get when this happens?

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button. button.

  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.

  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
