Could not download updates.  Tried MBAM clean to uninstall and then reinstalled. Now cannot activate premium version either. It says I don't have connectivity to the internet, which I do.  I have been getting those urgent Chrome update messages of late, not sure if this is related.

Hello and welcome back, @Edgor:

Thanks for the logs.  They do show some anomalies suggestive of networking problems.

Until a forum staff member has a chance to formally review them...

For starters, please be sure your system date and time are correct.  Then reboot the computer.
If neither of those resolves the issue, you might want to set mutual exclusions between MBAM and Avast and then reboot again.

The attached screen shot shows how to add an AV folder (in this case Kaspersky) to the MBAM exclusions (you may ignore the Carbonite entry in the picture).
The MBAM files to exclude in Avast are listed below.

The forum staff may have additional suggestions, including possibly heading over to another forum area for a bit of deeper work to scan/repair the system.

Thanks,

-----------------

For 32-bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 & Windows 8 & Windows 10:

• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamdor.exe
• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbampt.exe
• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamresearch.exe
• C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamscheduler.exe

For 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, Windows 7 & Windows 8 & Windows 10:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbam.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamdor.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbampt.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamresearch.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware \mbamscheduler.exe

Note: If you are using a software firewall besides the built in Windows Firewall, you'll need to exclude MBAM.EXE, MBAMSERVICE.EXE and MBAMRESEARCH.EXE from it, as well.

Note: Once that's done, please make sure that if either of those programs has any sort of web filter, that you add the following as a trusted site:

`data-cdn.mbamupdates.com`

The date and time are correct. I added those exclusions to Avast. Everything else I'm using can hit the internet except for Malwarebytes.

Any response here?
