Yahoo-associated PUP?

Hope this is the correct forum for this.

I was alerted this morning to an MB "PuP" quarantine that appears to be associated somehow with Yahoo search (see attached). I'm curious as to it's origin and am wondering if anyone can recognize the culprit by it's offending footprint.

Thank you for the response and link to a very informative MB article.

I might only add that I do not have "Chrome" installed on my system so it was evidently targeting another browser. I primarily utilize IE11 but do have Safari installed.

Thanks. I'm relatively inexperienced with the MB forum structure (and lotsa terms) so taking an escorted trip elsewhere is a no mas for me ;-)

Personally, I don't like or want ANY PUPs on my system. Any that are found would be removed by me, just saying. 

Also, I noticed you redacted your username from the logs. If you don't want or like your information such as possibly your real name online then I would highly suggest you make a new user profile with a ver generic name and use that. Then move all your data over to the new profile. When you're 100% certain the old data has been moved and everything works, then delete that old profile.

I would suggest following the advice from the topic here Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and having one of the Experts assist you with looking into your issue.
