Yourtv.link malware

Recommended Posts

Good morning.

This is my fist post here. I would like to ask for some help with a browser hijacker I can't seem to remove. It changes my default search engine in Chrome and doesn't let me change it back because it's "enforced by my administrator". Also, the homepage is sometimes changed to yourtv.link page.

I have tried Malwarebytes, JRT, Avast Browser Cleanup but it keeps coming back.

I would appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Camilo

Hello Camendoza94

After running the fix I have made below I would like you to restart the computer and after the computer has been restarted I would like you to check the computer and let me know how the computer is doing and if the problem still exists.

.
I have attached a file to this email named Fixlist.txt, I need you to download this file and save it next to the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (“FRST”) program (right next to each other is best)

Run the program called “FRST” again but, this time, I would like you to press the Fix button just once and wait.

.
When it has finished running it will make a report named fixlog.txt next to “FRST”. Please attach this report to your next reply to me.

.

Good morning

Thanks for your help. I did as instructed and it finished oFixlog.txtk. I can't see that program izek.exe running again but I can't change my chrome search engine from the one that the malware installed because it still says is enforced by my administrator. I tried resetting chrome settings but it's still there.

Thanks again.

Greetings

I have not heard from you in a couple of days so I am coming by to check on you to see if you are having problems or you just need some more time.

Also to remind you that it is very important that we finish the process completely so as to not get reinfected. I will let you know when we are complete and I will ask to remove our tools

.
