I have zonealarm as my firewall/AV. When I run malwarebytes, I get a security alert "malwarebytes is trying to communicate with \sysroot\system32smss.exe by opening its process - allow/deny". I've been picking deny. MBAM continues to run after that. My question is: is this an action I should be allowing? And should I check the "apply this setting to all suspicious behaviors exhibited by this application" box? I don't know this smss is, or the potential impact of allowing it. Windows xp if that makes a diference.

Sorry, I did try searching for the answer, but didn't see anything that sounded similar.

Thanks.
