Albiero malware

Recommended Posts

I have tried to get rid of Albiero for a long time. I used Malwarebytes, Spycatcher, an d a bunch of other programs. I had al least five emails from a Malwarebytes technician with pages of intructions none of which worked. Unwanted pages popup while browsing telling me to call a phone number because my computer is in danger. Sometimes there are loud warning noises.

The only way I can browse the internet is with a "Private Browsing" add-on to Firefox. I am faced with reformatting my hard drive.

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebytes

We are not permitted to work on possible malware-related issues here in this section of the forum.
Such work is conducted in a special forum area reserved for that purpose, or at the help desk.

So, for expert assistance, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.

It explains the options for free, expert help -->>AND<<-- the suggested, preliminary steps to expedite the process.
A malware analyst will assist you with looking into your issue.

Thank you

Hello @barkerrd

Please be respectful of others trying to assist you. Firefox did give you appropriate advice on where to post for assistance in trying to find and remove this. Please read the link he posted which asks you to run FRST and post back the 2 logs in the other forum where you can obtain one-on-one assistance in locating and removing this item.

If you like I can assist you personally, just create the new topic, post the requested logs and say that I asked you to and that I will help you. Then post back and give me the link to your new topic.

Thank you

Ron
