Please help with ɴ.net/server.pac infection..

Recommended Posts

Because my google searches was redirected and according to this, its due to malware.

I can still connect to the real google.com if I used VPN however.

I also can't change my proxy settings without deleting registry entry

HKEY_LM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Sometimes the proxy settings return to ɴ.net/server.pac even after I deleted that registry entry.

My proxy settings has not return to ɴ.net/server.pac for 3 days however.

OK. That's the some one. But I don't see any signs of the infection in your logs.

Can you check if either of these files exist:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\reset.txt
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\update.txt

If so, can you attach them to your reply?

OK. Then there is one more thing you need to do, which is to reset your hosts file.

Instructions can be found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/972034

For Windows 10 they are the same as for Windows 8/8.1

There are a few lines in there related to the infection and they could be involved in you getting re-infected.

Let me know how that goes.
