mbam.exe continuously uses 50% CPU

Recommended Posts

mbam, exe continuously uses 50% of CPU in standard user account, but will fall to 0% when using the admin account. I also have Microsoft Security Essentials running, but it is at 0%.

I added exclusions to both programs and uninstalled MalwareBytes in safe mode and reinstalled it after rebooting into regular mode. No joy.

I have Win7 SP! 32-bit.

Attached are the three files you usually want to diagnose problems.

The logs indicate this computer is running a hosts file designed to pirate (potentially) Rosetta Stone as well as software from Adobe, Nero AG and potentially others as well (the logs do not show the entire contents of the HOSTS file so this is just based on the entries listed in the logs). Please remove the Rosetta Stone, Adobe, Nero or any other entries designed to bypass activations and licensing. activate.adobe.com practivate.adobe.com ereg.adobe.com activate.wip3.adobe.com wip3.adobe.com 3dns-3.adobe.com 3dns-2.adobe.com adobe-dns.adobe.com adobe-dns-2.adobe.com adobe-dns-3.adobe.com ereg.wip3.adobe.com activate-sea.adobe.com wwis-dubc1-vip60.adobe.com activate-sjc0.adobe.com cache.vip.xunlei.com launch.rosettastone.com resources.rosettastone.com amp.rosettastone.com totale.rosettastone.com  firststart.nero.com
