No signal to monitor after running MB

A friend ran Maywarebytes, which he does regularly; it found several infected files and he followed the recommended action, and was told to reboot, which he did. His monitor is saying there is no input. He has waited 15 minutes, and nothing. He has powered off, waited, and then powered on. The same thing happens repeatedly; there is no signal to the monitor. I could try to restore it to a previous break point, if there was video. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

You should instead make sure the video cable that connects to the monitor connects to the computer.

The exact same thing happened to me, except I was trying to uninstall Spybot. It has nothing to do with the video cable, it works and is properly attached.

Because each situation is unique and these kind of softwares do not affect the ability to display video, please start your own thread in  General PC Help
